Task checklists

Keep the action beside the reason for it.

A task makes more sense inside the meeting, plan, or decision that produced it. Write Markdown checkboxes in your notes and use Tasks to find the outstanding actions across the workspace.

01

Capture actions in context

Add a checkbox directly to a meeting note or project plan. The action stays with the explanation and links that make it meaningful.

02

Find open work together

The Tasks view gathers source-linked checkboxes, and the sidebar shows the open-task count. Open the original note when you need the surrounding detail.

03

Keep completion traceable

Completing a task changes the source Markdown checkbox and creates normal note history. Authorized agents have matching tools to read and update tasks.

FROM IDEA TO USEFUL CONTEXT

Put it into practice.

  1. Write a checkbox

Add a Markdown checklist item where the action belongs.

  2. Review Tasks

Use the workspace Tasks view to find outstanding work and follow its source link.

  3. Update the original action

Complete or reopen the task while preserving the rest of the note.

A FEW USEFUL DETAILS

Questions, answered.

Are tasks stored separately from my notes?

Tasks refer back to Markdown checkboxes in the source note. Completion updates that original checkbox rather than maintaining a separate task description.

Can a propose-only agent complete tasks?

No. Updating tasks requires direct write access. Propose-only credentials cannot toggle task checkboxes through the task tool.

A PLACE TO BUILD ON

Give your next thought a home.

Start with a note. Add structure, connect an agent, and keep the useful context together.
