ChatGPT integration

Bring saved knowledge into your ChatGPT conversation.

Use a remote MCP connection to let ChatGPT consult the notes you maintain in Docblock. Start with a read-only test, then choose whether the workflow needs reviewed or direct note changes.

01

Reuse notes across conversations

Retrieve a saved project brief, research source, or decision instead of assembling the same background from scratch in each chat.

02

Approve the scope at sign-in

Use OAuth to choose the workspaces and access for the connection. A grant can cover one or several workspaces according to your choice.

03

Keep the sources available

Ask ChatGPT to read the full note when a retrieved passage is insufficient and include links to the notes behind its answer.

FROM IDEA TO USEFUL CONTEXT

Put it into practice.

  1. Check connector availability

Use the ChatGPT setup in the guide. Availability depends on your plan and business workspace admin settings.

  2. Create and authorize

Add the public HTTPS MCP URL with OAuth, sign in, and approve the intended access.

  3. Enable and verify

Enable the connector in a conversation and ask for a known workspace note.

A FEW USEFUL DETAILS

Questions, answered.

Is this the same as the Chat panel in Docblock?

No. This page describes connecting the external ChatGPT client to Docblock over MCP. Docblock also has its own Chat panel for working with notes inside the app.

Why can I not find the connector setup control?

ChatGPT connector creation depends on plan availability, developer settings, and business workspace admin settings. Follow the current instructions in the agent guide.
