Personal notes

Keep the thought you will want again.

An idea, a useful explanation, a reading note, or a daily observation can begin as a few lines. Give it a place now and add structure when you know how you want to use it.

01

Start without a complex system

Create an ordinary note or write in Today. Add folders, tags, and links as recurring subjects become clear.

02

Build collections around your interests

Use a Book, Recipe, or Project type when repeated entries need the same fields. A Block remains a note you can edit and connect to other ideas.

03

Return to older thinking

Search by a remembered phrase or topic, follow backlinks, and inspect earlier versions. Export a Markdown archive when you want a portable copy.

FROM IDEA TO USEFUL CONTEXT

Put it into practice.

  1. Capture a useful thought

Write a short note, record a reviewed transcript, or add a few lines to your daily note.

  2. Connect it when it repeats

Link related ideas and use a folder or type when the collection begins to take shape.

  3. Revisit and refine

Use search to find the note again, update it, and turn useful observations into something you can act on.

A FEW USEFUL DETAILS

Questions, answered.

Do I need to use AI agents?

No. You can write, organize, link, share, import, and export notes in the web app without connecting an agent.

Can I bring my existing notes?

Yes. Import supports Markdown files, folders, ZIPs, and Obsidian vaults. Check the import guide for supported metadata and limits.
