Markdown notes

Write clearly. Keep the Markdown.

Draft a project brief, save a useful explanation, or keep a working journal. Docblock gives you a readable editor and the underlying Markdown, with the same notes available to connected agents.

01

Choose how you write

Use the Human view for readable editing or switch to Markdown to work on the source. Changing views preserves your spacing and line endings.

02

Organize as ideas develop

Place notes in folder paths and add tags. Link related notes so a short brief can point to a deeper decision or reference without copying it.

03

Keep a record of changes

Saved versions show the person or agent behind an edit. Compare the history when you need to understand how a note reached its current form.

FROM IDEA TO USEFUL CONTEXT

Put it into practice.

  1. Create a note

Give it a clear title and a folder path that matches the subject.

  2. Add useful context

Write headings, lists, links, and the detail someone else will need later.

  3. Return and refine

Find it through search, edit it in either view, and inspect earlier versions when needed.

A FEW USEFUL DETAILS

Questions, answered.

Does switching editor views change my Markdown?

Switching between Human and Markdown view does not reformat the note, normalize spacing, or change line endings.

Can I take my notes elsewhere?

You can export the workspace as a ZIP containing Markdown notes. The import and export guide explains the archive format.
