Blocks and templates

Make a useful format repeatable.

A meeting, a book, and a project need different details. Blocks combine a normal Markdown note with a reusable type, so recurring work starts with the fields and sections you chose.

01

Combine structure and writing

Add properties such as dates, text, numbers, checkboxes, URLs, or repeating groups. Keep the full explanation in the same note body.

02

Start with your own template

Set a default folder and a Markdown template with title, date, and field placeholders. New Blocks receive the template when they are created.

03

Share a format with agents

Authorized agents can discover your saved types and create Blocks in the same structure. Existing notes can also be converted through a reviewed preview.

FROM IDEA TO USEFUL CONTEXT

Put it into practice.

  1. Define a type

Choose the properties and sections that make each entry useful later.

  2. Create a Block

Fill the fields and use the starting template for the current meeting, book, or project.

  3. Browse the collection

Return to Blocks to find entries of that type and open their notes.

A FEW USEFUL DETAILS

Questions, answered.

Will changing a template rewrite earlier Blocks?

No. Template changes affect future Blocks. Existing Blocks keep their current content.

Can I turn an existing note into a Block?

Yes. Convert to Block provides a preview of the type, properties, and resulting content. You can preserve the exact existing Markdown.
