Knowledge graph

Explore the connections around an idea.

Folders show where a note lives. Graph view helps you see what it connects to. Explore explicit references or content similarity, then open the notes that deserve a closer read.

01

Trace deliberate connections

Links mode shows resolved wikilinks in both directions. Select a note to highlight nearby notes and follow the references around it.

02

Discover similar material

When note indexing is configured, Similarity mode connects notes with related content. Use the map as a discovery aid, then read the notes themselves.

03

See relevance while editing

Relevant notes below the editor can explain direct links, shared neighbors, shared tags, or similar content without opening the full graph.

FROM IDEA TO USEFUL CONTEXT

Put it into practice.

  1. Open Graph view

Choose Graph view from the sidebar menu or command palette.

  2. Choose the connection

Use Links for saved references or Similarity for indexed content relationships.

  3. Inspect a neighbor

Select a note, read its details, and open the source before drawing a conclusion.

A FEW USEFUL DETAILS

Questions, answered.

Is the map a complete view of a large workspace?

Large workspaces use a bounded selection and show a notice when more connections exist. Search can bring matching notes into the map.

Do graph distances measure exact similarity?

No. The map approximates relationships. Visual distance is not an exact similarity score, and Similarity mode requires indexed notes.
